How you’ll make a difference
You’ll support the Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting in producing the annual report and accounts, as well as well as preparing papers for the Board and Board Audit Committee.  You’ll oversee governance related to key estimates and judgements and keep abreast of statutory and regulatory reporting developments.  As a senior member of the wider Financial Control team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving and shaping the success of the team.

  • Technically strong, qualified accountant who has held a senior finance role within Financial Services (Retail banking preferred).
  • Attention to detail and adherence to strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrable focus on internal controls and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and finance transformation.
  • Detailed knowledge of key statutory and financial reporting requirements.
  • Ability to manage key internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to influence and work collaboratively across the bank.

Selection process
There will likely be a 30-minute informal, exploratory chat with the Hiring Manager followed by a structured interview via Teams with the Hiring Manager plus another member of the team.  Here are some of the questions you’ll be asked at interview:
